8. What is a Brazilian Bikini Wax?
Brazilian waxing is a type of waxing involving the bikini area. This procedure involves the complete removal of hair from the buttocks and adjacent to the anus, perineum and vulva (labia majora and minora). The majority of types of Brazilian waxing leave a small line of pubic hair above the vulva. Waxes that completely remove the pubic hair are called either “PlayBoy Bikini”, “XXX Bikini”, depending on the salon visited. Sometimes the term Full Bikini Wax or FBW is used as well. While mainly associated with females, this procedure is also practiced in males as well.
Some women and men prefer to take it all off.

9. What is the procedure for Brazilian Bikini Wax?
When performing a bikini waxing, always make sure that you hold the skin taut and take the wax off in small sections. Start with snipping off the hair. Then the wax is applied in little area at a time. The hot wax is used the same way it is used in regular waxing. The strip is placed on the area covered with wax and is then pulled off when the wax is dry. The stray hairs are removed with tweezing.

14. How long do hairs have to be?
Each hair grows at different speeds so the longer you wait, the more rough the waxing. Do not cut, buzz or trim. If hairs are too short, the wax will "slip" off the hair as you pull, and you have to go back a second time.
Hair is long enough to wax when you can pinch the hair, lifting up your skin.
Hair should be at least 1/4 inch long in order to get the best results. If it is not 1/4 inch long, please just wait until it reaches this length.

15. What is the right temperature to melt my wax?
It depends on the wax system you are using:
Roll-on System and Can Wax System (both soft wax), have to be melted at a temperature that wax becomes completely liquid. Please heat the wax carefully.
Be sure to test a small area of skin first just to make sure that temperature and consistency are the right ones and there is no allergic reaction or acute sensitivity using waxing.
Our waxes work with a very thin coat, to be applied in the direction of the hair growth that allows a very easy removal.
In the Hard Wax System, the right temperature is when the wax looks like creamy, heavy consistency, (never liquid).
Please heat the wax carefully.
Be sure to test a small area of skin first just to make sure that temperature and consistency are the right ones and there is no allergic reaction or acute sensitivity using waxing. |
